About the Tour About D Rose

GENERAL RULES:

* 3on3 format (4 players per team = 3 starters + 1 substitute)

* 80 Teams from the different participant schools are invited to participate during each weekend. These 80 teams will be divided into 20 pools of 4 teams each. Each pool plays a “Single Round Robin” – meaning, each team plays against all other teams in the pool once (i.e. every team plays 3 games)

* The top teams from each of the twenty (20) pools will then advance to the first single elimination round. Match-ups during this round will be determined through drawing of lots.

* The 10 winners of the first single elimination round will then advance to the second elimination round. Match-ups during this round will also be determined through drawing of lots.

* The 5 winners of the second elimination round automatically qualify for the Grand Finals which will happen on September 15, 2013

* This process will then be repeated on the second leg of the regional tournaments, which will happen on August 24, 2013.

* A total of 11 winners will be selected from the two legs of the D Rose Tour 3on3 Regional tournaments and will proceed to the Grand Finals on September 15, 2013.

* The 11th and final qualifying team, will be selected from the 10 teams who lost during the last elimination rounds of both legs of the D Rose Tour Tournament (5 losing teams per leg). The final qualifier team will be the Team with the best Quotient Statistic based on all their played games in the D Rose Tour 3on3 Regional Tournament. The quotient is determined by the following formula: Quotient = total points scored/total points allowed.

HOW TO WIN EACH GAME:

The team that reaches 21 points first within 10 minutes wins the game. If no team reaches 21 points within 10 minutes, then the team with the higher score wins the game.
